What is Mrs. Schelhaas reading?
While driving with my sister from Alaska to Grand Rapids we discovered an ap for audio books! It is called hoopla and it connects to the Grand Rapids Public Library and the KDL library. It is very user friendly and got us through 6 days and over 3,000 miles of driving. My favorite book we listened to was Echo about a magic harmonica and how it helps different people during World War Two.

A Night Divided was a recomendation from a third grade reader. It is about a very brave girl and her attempt to bring her family back together. It was a great book to read on the plane to Alaska to visit my parents.
Lucy and I are doing some non-fiction reading getting ready for our baby chicks next week!
The Hour Of the Bees was recommended to me by our wonderful teacher librarian and there are several other teachers waiting to read it. Sooo it is my first read of the summer! This book is about a girl who is spending her summer with her grandfather who is suffering from dementia.
I just started The Key to Extraordinary by Natalie Lloyd the author of a Snicker of Magic. It is so good that I woke up at 5:30 on a Saturday morning to read! This book is about a girl with a destiny, she is on a mission to save her family's home and restaurant and home with the help of her best friend and a ghost.
